GROVE STREET APARTMENTS - 2000
       

Our brief was to provide integrated public housing comprising 8 x 1 bedroom adaptable apartments that met the client's comprehensive requirements for community housing.

Three separate buildings were placed around a central driveway, allowing us to address the street with four units, and create a covered set-off point for the tenants. Windows and door openings were positioned to maximise cross-flow ventilation from prevailing breezes.   Openings exposed to sun and rain penetration have been protected by means of eaves, hoods and screens.
