William McCormack Place is Australia's first office building to achieve a 5 star ABGR Energy rating, demonstrating what can be achieved by our high quality design team. Through correct orientation, careful façade design, sun-shading, an innovative, efficient floor-plan and working closely with services and structural consultants excellent results can be achieved on time and within budget. The brief was to provide Government accommodation in a commercially viable building with an emphasis on energy efficiency. It should be noted that whilst some of the devices used to reduce energy use have a large initial capital cost, most of them paid for themselves within two years!
