We were commissioned to design a state-of-the-art marine research facility to enable high quality research into local fish and crustacean species and the development of breeding techniques for re-stocking and farming.

The design of the building has taken complex hydraulic systems with very specific environmental requirements, rationalised them and brought them together under one roof whilst allowing maximum flexibility for future changes to the systems.

The building is dominated by the size and complexity of the incorporated internal and external elements and therefore was designed to provide a simple, clean backdrop.
